I have an Orly Blue 90' and there is someone around my town who also has a
blue Vanagon - older though and of course a different blue. I've seen it
here and there.

Well, my SO saw it parked by the library yesterday and approached the
driver. She mentioned our "bus" and told him we had been waiting to run into
him. He said he really enjoyed driving it and didn't know there were
"others" (meaning people who liked Vanagons). She gave him my e-mail
address. He also made some humorus comment about his only getting 14 mpg
despite all his efforts. I think I'll be refering him to the list if he
e-mails.

Now I have been saying that there are only 4 Vanagons in my town - the guy I
speak of above and my three. However, on Monday I passed another - it was a
light blue with an orange (or yellow) stripe. Not stock colors. I actually
wasn't looking and I heard the engine pass, knew the sound and caught a
visual in my rear view.
