The first place to check is the door switch on the drivers door. this is a 2 pole switch. One wire connects the return for the interior lights and the other completes the return path for the door buzzer. If the two circuits connect with out making the body connection, there will be cross connection and since you have two batteries the door switch will now become the interconnect. The ignition switch connection for the door buzzer activates as the key is turned on. It will remain activated until the key is actually removed, (that click as it is pulled out).
