Well, I once talked to a mechanic who owns a 76 gas station and who happens to be my cousin about engine conversion. I was advised that in California it is too much trouble to deal with DMV because of emission regulations. I wasn't given details but got the impresion it could be endless trouble getting smog certified every two years.

Can anyone in California who has done it comment about this?

David
