I did replace the front speakers with Infinity
reference 4012i's, and they just barely clear with
modifications.  In fact, I mounted them from behind
the panel and used a generic speaker cover from some
junkers I picked up at a local auto parts store.

With the covers included, they will not clear the
window crank (for those with manual windows), and will
press against the dash.

Check into Boston Acoustics as I think they may clear,
but I don't know for certain.
