Subject: adding extra water outlets to Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

I didn't see my post make the list yesterday, so here goes again-

I'm looking for some ideas for installing two extra water outlets connected to the stock Westy water tank- one inside and one outside. I don't often use the sink pump as it usually isn't open. I more often need water outside the van, and need water inside, but don't want to have the sink opened up, or carry a container.

I'm looking for ways to connect one hose inside and one hose outside without drilling any visible holes inside the van. I was thinking of somehow tapping into the bottom of the drain cap for the tank, and running a hose over to the passenger side, and using gravity to feed it. That just might work for the outside.

I'm thinking that for inside, I'll tap into the supply under the sink with a hand siphon pump, and run it around the back and hang it on the side of the sink/stove cabinet, behind the driver's seat.

That would give me water inside and out, cheaply, without having to use the standard sink pump.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks, Ed in CT
