Yup,

Flew from SLC to PNX to Terra Houte IN.
Take a good but small tool set.
And since I was sleeping in rest stop,
I took a pistole'
might have been a mistake...
Airlines dont like you bringing them along much these days ? ;o)
I was strip searched at every chance
and from every angle
Price of freedom in Am ? don' know...
Got to the auto dealer selling the Westy.
A 91. Started it up & the darn thing
Sounded like a Typewriter !!!
They were asking $7900 for it.
Talked them down to $4842
in the end.
I didnt know if I'd make it home with the thing or not.
But there I was. No ticket home.
Didnt they realize the barrel they had me over?
Started the three day (I hoped !!! ) trip home.
And the farther I drove, the better the Engine sounded !!!
I didnt know about the hydraulic lifter
emptying over time.
& I guess Neither did the car dealer !!!
Terra Houte is a college town
But I think mostly a Ford & Chevy Truck Town.
They Did Not Want to End Up With the Vanagon!!
Any who... Would Not do it Again !!!!
Woke up in Nebraska at a rest stop, it was dark....
Saw a truck stop at the next exit, & so I pulled in & got a cup.
Asked the nice lady at the counter what time it was.
She said 7:48.
I sez... Morning or Night.
She looked at me, wondering what my drug of choise might have been !!! ??? !!! ;o)
Delerium for sure.
Rather be working over time at my job
And pay for the shipping !!!!
Any day !!!!
