I was on the list for a couple of years before I bought my Westy. Find one of the good ones in town and keep your eye on it. Don't be afraid to leave a note to let the owner know you're interested (in the van or, hey, whatever). The PO of mine said she'd have sold much sooner had she known. Interestingly, as an owner of a West Highland Terrier (Westy), she did not know the VW campers are called that until she began researching them for the sale. She was a two Westy family.
