Hi Gals & Guys,
Finally blew-town on Saturday May 26th.
New Pirelli STR Tyres installed, fresh oil in the WBX and bills paid for the
next three months.
Geezus, the myriad of details it takes to get on the road takes longer than
the trip itself..... if you know what I mean.
Anywho, about a mile South of town I am yelling (to myself):
Yippee, hurrah I'm free, I'm free... free at last! Sorry Dr. King, I know
what you had in mind with this pontification was not intended for white-guy
schmucks like me but, the feeling is perhaps similar. So much for
Socio-political/Philosophical mumblings... I am On-The-Road to Westie Bliss,
Nirvana or Valhalla.
First stop was a lack-luster Rest-Stop East of Moses Lk, Washington for some
sleep at 10:00PM.... Zzzzzzzzzz, I sleep well in rest-stops.
Sunday morning I joined the WetWestie Camp-out at Admiral Farragut (AKA Damn
the torpedoes full-speed ahead) State Park on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.
Thanks to Cami & Brian for hosting. Many familiar faces and a some really
great new folks to meet and play show and tell with our westies. They left
me nearly the whole park on Monday night.
Tuesday took me East on ID/MT state routes 200/28/93 to one of my favorite
National (international) jewels, Glacier-Waterton Peace Park. Hoped to
transit Going to the Sun Road for the view and test both mine and the
westies lungs at the top of 6646ft/2025m Logan Pass.... Not! Snow still
blocks the road or slide damage until an estimated opening of early July
this year. So, here I sit on the shores of Lake McDonald at Sprague Creek
Camp Site with a bunch of Tent-Campers.....
who looked very annoyed at me this morning as I fired up the Espar furnace
for some heat. Well, gosh it was all of 52 inside the Westie!
Off to find some Wi-Fi and head towards Regina, SK. George, put on the
coffee!
Regards
Phil Z.

PS Wi-Fi's alluded me until today, Monday June 04. Now in Toronto, ON
visiting with my daughter.
