well not than any 83-85 1.9 seems to care :)
but in the end I decided to go with 2ply silicon 5/8" inch heater hose
and a slinky like spring wrap
http://www.tamparubber.com/hoseprot.htm (Round Wire Spring Guard)
my thinking was
1) the 4-6ply hose is realy only req in high psi not the 15-20psi for
colling system
and it appears the chemical composition is the same regardless of the
ply
2) the spring wrap should help prevent kinks and \
keep the silicone hose shaped as it exits the nipples on the tranny
cooler
3) stop the hose from chaff against any components since I tie wrapped the
spring wrap
not the hose to hold it in place along the tranny & bell housing
4) Cost 4-6 ply silicone hose has exponential cost vs 3-5/foot for 2ply
5) The goodyear ARMORCOAT in 5/8 is too stiff it wont make the turn of
the tranny cooler w/o putting undue stress on the cooler & hose
ok next up new post why do these 83-85 1.9 run rich ...new post
