Really , it's been done to death. This claim: "Complete vaporization of fuel is far from perfect in today's cars and trucks. A certain amount of residual fuel in most engines remains liquid in the hot chamber" is probably slightly true, but that "certain amount" is not really statistically significant, and the effect of a shotglass per tank of acetone on that marginal amount is minimal. Gasoline is already seasonally formulated in many markets to more closely tailor the vapor pressure of the fuel to the projected intake air temperature, meddled with on a greater scale than the recommended 2oz acetone per 10gal gas. What it comes down to is that all the "pro acetone" stories are anecdotal, and every attempt to scientifically document the stories in lab conditions have shown no improvement. You can improve your gas mileage by inadvertently getting a plastic dinosaur wedged under the accelerator. The difference seen by the anecdotal reports is easily attributable to subconscious, "press the gas pedal a little less", wish fulfillment.
