Hi Folks,

Wow, 12 days on the road already. From my last reported location on the West-side of Glacier-Waterton National Park, I moved to the East side via the long-way-around the southern end of the Park. A new road for me and rewarded with a Cow Moose with twin-calves sighting. The Calves were real newly-born as they didn't have their legs under then so to speak. Both, face-planted themselves on the pavement in front of the Van! I was already stopped from the Cow crossing in front of me. No messing with a Moose, they ruin a Vanagon let alone a Vanagon road-trip.....

Real quiet on the east-side of the Park. Did meet a couple from Germany travelling in their EV they had shipped over to Halifax, NS. They were heading for Northern BC and the Yukon.... Talk about heading somewhere, I needed to begin making fast-tracks eastward myself. The next five days were a blur.

Made Moose Jaw, SK bye the end of the next day. Truck-stop camped. Had a great cell-phone chat with George T as I screamed through Regina early the next morning. George, the official WetWestie keeper of the road gave me permission to pass and wished me well... thanks George.... Your good karma got me to east of Kenora, ON by nightfall. Rushing River Provincial Park for a Friday night stay. Saturday night saw me on the beach of Lk Superior at Rainbow Falls, well east of Nipion, ON. Sunday took me well towards Toronto, stopping at Grundy Lake Prov Park. Gads, $35 for a spot but the shower the next morning was heavenly. Monday night I was at my daughter's digs in downtown Toronto. Yikes, what a shift in camping styles. From vacant un-populated northern ON to intercity metropolis, roof-down Westie in the parking-lot camping. The rewards.... spending time with family..... priceless!

Now, gearing up for a leisurely 5 hour drive to Almonte, ON and the beginning of BusFusion tomorrow.......

regards Phil Z. Campbell River, BC -----------
