I didn't use any glue on mine, and they don't leak.  You just cut the old
ones, take the glass out.  I then put the glass in the new rubber, run a
piece of string around the slot where the rubber mounts to the car, cover
everything in soapy water, and push it in where it should be.  When it's in
place, pull the string out carefully, and it pulls the lip over the steel
lip of the van.  Voila!

I've read some web sites that say you can just pull the old trim out, and
you're good.  My seals were old and rotten, so I just replaced them.
