I may make one. And as a thought on those lines.....

Would a lip at front (facing rear of van) on shelf be over kill?

How about an arm or some such on each side that would flip up and
connect to strut(s) to secure shelf from tipping?

I saw the bungees though so obviousy you alreay have found a way to
secure shelf from tipping.

Good use of space!
