OE brand is hit or miss. Some of their stuff is ok, other stuff is garbage. (Made in China or India usually) I think http://www.cip1.com sells this brand as their cheap CV's (hmmm, does "CIP" really mean "Chinese import parts?") The bolts that come with the OE CV joints are garbage. They will strip when tightening if you torque to the specified amount of 33 ft pounds. If you buy these CV joints, buy good quality new bolts or use your old ones. The joints themselves looked ok to me, but I only installed them last month in a friends van, too early to tell if they will last. |
