I know about the claims of synthetics, but when I read about people whose vans go 150K miles on dino oil, and they don't leak any oil, or have any OP problems, I tend to think, wow, whatever they were using all those years, sure seems to have done a great job, and yet folks want to double the cost of their oil, to replace something that hasn't given any indication that it has failed to do the job....

I often marvel at the 'high mileage' oil commercials, and can only think that if what you are using, got you all the way to the high mileage mark, why would anyone want to stop using what got you there?

Just wondering about the thinking behind the change, not wishing an oil war, since we already have one of those :-)
