Hello;

I understand that some westies came fitted with the slideout middle
seat. Mine didn't.

Over the last few summer's I've gathered the seat and tracks to add a
middle seat to my westy. I have the seat, the main tracks, the trays
that hold the main tracks, the segmented door flashing and the hold-
downs.

When I laid the trays and tracks down inside the westy, it became
apparently immediately that they were from a non-camper---the trays
are an inch too long (47") to fit between the cabinetry and the
outside edge of the floor (46"). The actual tracks that the seat runs
in are only 43 inches, so it looks as if there is plenty of room for
them.

Obviously, the trays will have to be trimmed. What I'm wondering is
this: is there a difference between camper and non-camper tracks and
trays that would cause me not to be able to cut my trays and fit them
into the camper space? I undertstand that all vanagons were created
with the fasteners already in the floor, and in the same places. But
that doesn't guarantee that all the pieces made to fit over them had
holes with the same offset.

Can anyone verify that this installation is going to work?
