Subject: Power window not working...

I have an '88 Westy with a driver's power window that is not working. It seemed to be sticking when first trying to open it when closed - now it does not work at all.

When I hit the window switch either direction I can hear it click but the motor does not turn. I swapped switches with the passenger side, same result.

I checked and can feel the cable on the track, it seems okay, not extra taunt. I see no plastic pieces in the door.

The tracks were replaced a couple of years ago because the originals lost the plastic tabs and the cables got all messed up.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what to check next?

I'm guessing that I have to take out the window motor and test that - if it works the problem is with the track?

Todd '88 Westy
