I've gotta say that petcock sounds like a pretty good investment for $20. Because normal bleeding with that bolt is a PIA.....unscrewing the bolt just too much and it pops out under pressure and searching for the bolt on the ground as the coolants is pumping out.

With all the Vodoo of bleeding--getting the RPMS up to whatever-- and so on, that petcock sounds good. Especially when you're bleeding the system solo with all those laps around the vehicle.

I like the idea. I like it. Good tip.

Now if I can just find someone to lend me the $20. It's been one of those weeks (read:years).

re radiator bolts

...you can also go the luxury route and get the petcock instead of radiater screw from kennedy engineering. yes, its like $20, but really practical ( http://www.kennedyeng.com/sub_van.htm) . usually employed when doing the subie conversion, but you can use it just as well for the waterboxer. flo
