RE: Battery Draining Within the last couple of weeks I was dealing with what I thought was the same problem. In the process I measured the current draw (removed ground strap and connected a multimeter between the battery and ground to measure the current flow, make sure you are measuring current) and found my residual draw was about 40 milliamps. I assume that is the radio and clock, etc. At that rate I'd expect a good, fully charged battery to last at least through the next Sunspot cycle :). BTW, with the ignition on but engine not running I was drawing about 7.5 amps. BTW, in my case the problem was a battery that had been drawn down very low (headlights left on for a couple of days) and it had not charged back up yet even with about 40 miles of driving. Putting a charger on the battery overnight cured the problem.
