Is the hissing coming from the base of master brake cylinder? You can grab a piece of hose and lend an ear. There's an o-ring there, if it's toast, it will leak. Might be worth wile first to check that o- ring's integrity before you yank the whole booster. I would say it's about a five hour job removing the dash, etc and putting it back together, roughly. Then again I can be a bit of a spastic turtle at times.
