After my '87 Syncro got it's Subie EG-33 6 cylinder, the oil pump started to leak. I replaced the pump, which requires removing the timing belt, without dropping the engine completely. I lowered it enough to have easy access to everything I needed back there.

I'm thinking 4 cylinders should be even easier.
