> Just to chime in on a quality inverter--not! I bought a coleman 300W at Harbor Freight, thinking it would be better than one of their Chicago Electric brands or whatever. It did its job great for several years, while it lasted. A few months back I was sitting outside the westy while it was charging the iPod. I was in a nylon seat camp chair. I slide forward to see if it was actually plugged in, and the slide out of the seat and then touching the inverter caused a small spark... and that was it. The inverter had generated its last modified sine wave. Pretty bad when your inverter can't take a spark to the case!
