Checking the plugs on my 1.9l WBX (how do you easily get to the #1 plug, anyway?) I noticed a wet gasoline-smelling spot on top of the driver side cylinder head, under the injectors. The injector bits, including their undersides, seem to be dry. The bolts holding the intake air manifold* to the head were not tight. I've tightened them and will see if things dry up. The engine has not been run for a few days. Could fuel leak out of an insufficiently tightened air manifold / head connection while the van is just sitting? *I can't find the name for that part in Bentley's p. 24.46. It's the paired hoses that bring air from the intake air distributor to the heads. -- Mike "Rocket J Squirrel" Elliott 71 Type 2: the Wonderbus 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Utility Trailer.
