Hi Rob,

Brady is anything but a negative kind of guy. I think he was just pointing out what others have already stated. I understand the big cost difference between a complete low mileage turnkey kit with SS hardware and the higher mileage build it up at home installs is a big number. This is were it looks like there will be some middle ground soon as several vendors are saying they will be releasing mid price kits ($4k - $5K). Bostig, the Zetec guys are the first vendor to be selling and shipping their 1st core kits for under $4000! Which is all positive good stuff!

TGIF :) Dave

Whoa! Negative vibes.... I've never seen anyone say you could change a timing belt in an hour, any timing belt, until you and now. Did you really change your Zetec timing belt in an hour? Why did you have to change it? I'm curious I put a Subie in my VW for around $2k including the new radiator, if I'd had $8k sitting around I'd have given the Zetec a try but $8k is a LOT of money.

Nothing wrong with you liking the Zetec, nothing wrong with someone liking any engine for their VW, but do we really need the negative vibes? There is enough room on this list for all the engine ideas with out bad mouthing someone else. <shrug> Just my opinion.
