Hi Paul. I was just reading up on the Norcold DC0040 in the archives. Here is a link to a list members install/useage info for the Norcold: http://www.members.shaw.ca/McTavishPAC/fridge/fridge.html You might find this to be a good replacement though you may need to invest/upgrade to a larger house battery. The combined $$ may be too much. So.... What about getting a good used Dometic? It you find one and it's not installed, you can bench test on AC and if you're comfortable dealing with LP connectionss, hook it up to a BBQ LP tank to test operation on LP.
