I can't think of a decent cooking spot off hand, what with the exhaust being
on the bottom.

We used to do a lot of heating of cans and some cooking of potatoes/corn
wrapped in foil on my '57 Chevy Pickup with 261 CI six.  You could snuggle
the cans and spuds in between the head and the exhaust manifold very
easily.

Cast iron, the choice of chefs worldwide!   :)
