I think it is a mixture of both..
  Oblivious, because they are so used to their own noise that it doesn't
register with them. Like people who's homes are under an airport flight
path, they simply "tune it out"... I have seen them sitting right next to
the generators on their RVs, drinking cocktails in the evening-lots of
lights and the tv on inside, but they are all outside, enjoying the peaceful
sound of ...their own generator..
  Inconsiderate because they don't consider that other people nearby may not
be oblivious to the sound of their generators.  I've had adjacent RVers tell
me, after we became acquainted and I mentioned that their generator noise
was a bit intrusive and unpleasant, tell me..."Oh no, our generator is
really quiet.  Some are noisy, but not ours"....Oblivious.

  Oh well, that is just a part of camping anywhere where the BFMHs can
access, and one reason why I may convert to a Syncro eventually...
