The quality certainly varies...what was the brand name? I bought their 1000w
Xantrex, and it caught fire as soon as I hooked it up to an Optima Yellow
Top..I had nothing plugged in to it and it was switched off at the time. The
"Eliminator" series with the  digital readout  seems to be a bit better
quality...
