When we have shore power, we use that outlet to run a string of LED-lighted stars (bought from IKEA) around the front of the van. It's just for looks and fun. We have to deal with a thin cord from that corner out to the driver door. After that, it's all outside.

In a more hedonistic bent, when we have shore power we use that outlet when weather demands to run our small electric space-heater during the night.
