Hi Jamie.

One other way to increase speed is to lower the rear springs a bit and run bigger tires on the back end. The transmission is not the only place you can affect engine RPMs at speed.

I can't wait to see diesel vanagons running around with the rear wheel arches radiused for huge tires like they used to do to split- window buses in the bad old days.
