I've made them using wax can covers (brand escapes me just now). I had one that fit perfectly but when I had it off one day my brother, thinking it was trash, tossed it.

The one I've been using for the last 4 years is yellowish (see through) and would be too loose but for a ring of 14 ga electrical wire that I put around it each time I put it on.

It has been on for numerous trips from Maine to Virginia and many places in between and has never blown off.

I'm thinking I should probably paint it with Krylon Fusion (paint for plastics) to give it some UV protection.
