Hi Frank,

We've gone solar but I can't help you with on-roof panel applications. Down here in the Southwest, the idea is to NOT park in the sun. My panels (two 45-watters) are placed out where the sun do shine at the end of long 6-gauge "extension cords." I mounted $20 camera monopods to them as tilt-back legs so I can point and tilt them as needed to face directly into the sun -- which they need in order to start working. Otherwise I'd be moving the van around at night to catch the morning sun, and wishing I could park under those trees over there in the heat of the midday.
