I made it back from my weekend camping trip to Yosemite. My engine did not explode. It did not melt down. It did not throw a rod. There was no over heating during the entire trip. I made it back home last night. The engine wasn't too poor in climbing the hills. But there wasn't anything to be joyful about either. Checked the oil this morning. There wasn't any loss of oil. Did lose maybe a small cup of coolant. That's not bad. I might have air bubble in the sytem before the trip. Drove the camper this afternoon. It appeared to be about the same as before the trip. It still lacks power a bit comparing to my 84 Vanagon which has a tired engine at 150k miles. I was able to cruise the camper at 70 MPH but I did feel a little pushy. I can cruise my 84 at 70 MPH with very light pedal. The worst that happened during my trip was... It was so noisy when driving with head wind blowing against my camper. Not wind noise. It was the noise coming out of the 4 CV joints. I had all 4 repakced about 2 months ago. The repacking obviously made no improvement. I think I need 4 new CV joints at this point. I still feel something is wrong with my rebuilt engine of my camper. I will do another round of pressure (leak down) test. If the cylinder #1 and #3 still leak I will drop the engine soon to check them out. David
