Well I was speaking of the concert tuba, though I have more than one of each. (so sad.... ;^) Man I thought the dude in my HS band, who carried his bari sax back and forth to school, on his bike was pushin' it! If memory serves correctly, my uncle (as you did) took his sousaphone on his bike. My old man played tuba too. Not sure if he tried the same thing. Likely he did though. Yah tuba, especially concert size (4/4 or 5/4) would be a Biaaaatch on a bike. Although I've never ridden with a tuba/sousaphone on my bike, years ago, I used to walk through downtown from work to noon hour dixie gigs with a case-less Tuba (smaller 3 valve) slung over my shoulder. Funny things is no one seemed to care. Of course these days they might think it a WOMD. Unlike my golf clubs, which are weapons of grass destruction! Neil.
