After Manic-Cinq (5th dam on the Manicougan river for anyone that cares) I separated from Phil and Joy and headed west through the lake country of southern Ontario (1000 islands along the St. Lawrence river and then up to Buckhorn). After a week of horribly hot weather, it is finally cool in eastern Canada, with extra nice scenery in the lake country. Tonight I'm in the Bruce Pennisula of Lake Huron on a beautiful bay. Upon which I'll write more later. Hey, Phil, turns out there WAS another road out of Manic 5 we could have taken back to the St. Lawrence. Probably of gravel. Found it on a map I picked up later. Oh, well.
