I left that plastic piece in. If it were removed a larger diameter dowel could be used and might make a better fit. 2. What's the diameter of the Guide Rod? That's the area that chipped and prompted the insalation of the guide rod. BTW, I've given up trying to find a plastic ferrel or insert for that top hole. I'd love to find something like the plastic inserts that are used in desks for the pass through for computer cables, etc. that would fit. That would cover the flaked of part and tighten the fit at the top a little better. If anyone has any ideas let me know. |
