Two things:

I believe Westfalia sold a child's cot for the Vanagon like the one for the older busses. I have an old Westflia catalogue from Germany in German that shows the cot. If or how you order one, I dunno.

Seems like you could modify a loaf child's cot by extending the length of the poles and using the hooks and hook recievers that are part of that set up. Not sure how the canvas would translate ad far as appropriate width to reach the pole. But the canvas seems the least of it.

I've seem the loaf child's cots for sale on _www.thesamba_ (http://www.thesamba) occassionally or of course the ever evil ebay.

In the meantime I'll try to locate my old Westfalia catalogue and see if it has part numbers or something useful.

I was wondering if anyone had created a child cot for a Vanagon before. I thought it could be a handy thing for those who camp in a Non-Westy and have only one kid.
