BINGO!

Don't blame Big Oil or Big Motors...they just react to market forces. Blame BIG Government....always and forever clueless, wasteful and behind the times. And by Big Government, I don't mean the current administration...I think Don has greatly over-estimated the power of Big Oil on this administration, or any other administration for that matter. By Big Government I mean all state and federal bureaucracies and the self-serving legislators who support them. Once a regulation is in force, it is extremely difficult to get it changed because the bureaucracy has to be changed too. A good example is the IRS...we all know that there is a better, cheaper and much less complicated way to get tax revenue to the government.....but go ahead and try to change the IRS and watch the tax code get even more complicated.

My understanding is that 'Diesel' is a dirty word in California. If true, then why would anyone try to market a diesel vshicle in the US?
