Same here, sometimes you can get parts from sources you generally dont think of. I've phoned up the folks at GoWesty and had them send me over the occasional part from one of their donor vans there.

Some of these guys make occasional runs back to der fatherland to deal directly with folks over there (one guy in particular I overheard talking about an operation where they have tons of old VW parts in a big shed/warehouse) you literally have to go over and pack the box of stuff up for yourself. Cant rely on them to do much, or in a timely manner.

I'm glad there's all the vendor support, along with a helpful/resourceful community (e.g.; this list, the syncro lists over on Yahoo etc)

Without them, all our vans would be sitting in fields pushing up daisies! ;-)
