Subject: coolant fitting RR cyl head
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Working on my '88 Westy AT cooling system, I have removed this fitting, which is the original plastic one. The small hose that attaches to it was leaking but I don't think the fitting was. On close exam I do see a hairline crack on the inside, near the opening. This fitting has a groove in it and used a round seal. I have a metal fitting from some long ago repair on my '90, and it appears to be in good condition, but I do not have a gasket. I would like to finish this up this weekend. Would "The Right Stuff" gasket maker work in this situation?? Jerry
