Syncro, right?

Possibly coolant lines expanding when hot and interfering with the shift linkage. It happened to me and I did not see it until I lowered the spare tire and saw the coolant hose trying to find its way under the shift rod as it got hot. This was on top of the diff case.

My coolant lines are 1.5" BellowsFlex rigid and I would not use it again. The steel wrap in the hose (I believe) is what contributes to the expansion.
