I also drove mine empty (still with the factory fiberglass insulation but no fixtures or panels) and then with the Extreme (the thinner stuff) and it seemed quieter. The really noticeable difference is thumping panels that have been soundproofed compared to those that have not. The huge difference in the resonant sound (greatly reduced on the treated panels) MUST make a big difference on the inside when in motion.

Another guy who did this, who used SIX ROLLS on his interior, naturally claims even better results. I have not yet done the cab area of my van (front doors, headliner, floor and firewall) and that fellow claims that is crucial for best results. I believe it and will get to these areas in the next down season.
