I would be interested in a small engine that would fit upright under the hood and be cheap and reliable. did anybody ever use a a geo metro 4cylinder for a conversion. Dirt cheap and they holdup extremely well under all the kids that have them.. 400dollars for a low mileage Japanese engine with carb, turbo models also made. I would be happy with a75 horse engine. ALSO what about some small industrial engines? I don't want to turn the vanagon into a hummer with 4 wheeldrive and a oversized engine. I just want 55mph and refrigerator reliability. mike
