What I think is criminal is the self-serve stations (and even the stations in OR) not offering any air for your tires, or charging 50 cents for a few seconds of pump time (usually with a broken fitting on the hose.)


Also criminal how the major oil companies are pushing policies to force the independent station operators out of business.


Anyway,


I'm old enough to remember full-service stations when they really offered full service (gas, check oil, water, and battery, air in your tires), gave you green stamps and other giveaways just to get you to fill-up at their stations.


ah, the good old days....  :-)
