In my attempts to improve the efficiency of my old Dometic, I added a small interior fan, a larger rear fan, and an manual override switch for the rear fan. I just noticed that if one or both of the fans is on, I get a "false positive" flame light. In other words, the green light indicating flame is glowing even if the flame isn't. Turning off the fan(s), it still works correctly. I'm a "by guess and by God" kind of electrician, so I'm guessing that I inadvertantly tapped into the wrong live wire (it is yellow) when looking for an electrical supply on the refrigerators top electrical panel. Can anyone help me understand what I did wrong and how to find a live wire that won't affect anything else negatively? If it helps, the ground I tapped into was blue. Thanks, Paul |
