I'm probably a combination of the first and third type/class. I don't feel any particular compulsion to pay much attention to other vans or wave for that matter. If I saw someone wave, I'd return in kind, but I don't think that's ever happened in any of my Vanagons. Maybe that's just a camper van thang, or because Vanagons are a dime a dozen around here. Mine just happens to be a utility vehicle that I like very much--(I've owned four, plus a T1 and T2).
