This is the truth. I told my regular mechanic to change everything and they refused, they said we changed everything that needed to be replaced and just charged me as if they had changed everything. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of BA Sent: Friday, July 06, 2007 9:36 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Burnt Van Photos Hi, It needs to be even more stringent than that. Our former mechanic changed "all the lines that needed to be changed". After we even had specifically said, "Please change the fuel lines." A few years later, we had our leaking fuel line event. By deities' grace, we didnt' wind up as the burnt Westy of the month. So the question needs to be, "Have you, yourself, visually ensured that your fuel lines have been changed". (BTW, we rescinded our Roadhaus review of this particular mechanic for this and several other sins ... )
