last summer our son was a great camper. his first trip was when he was 3 mo, and he slept for 7 hours straight. he was little enough that he slept in the car seat (rear-facing infant seat). we did probably 6-8 trips over the summer, each of them great fun for all. now he is 1.5 yr, and needs a proper sleeping surface. he consistently sleeps 12 hours/night in his crib in his room. we bought a mini-tent from one of the online kid-stuff retailers, and he likes to hang out in it. we tried our fist trip a month ago, at a site 45 min from home. the day went okay, but we were completely unable to get him to mellow out for bed time. at 10:30 we gave up and drove home. he was asleep before we got on the highway... so- any parents have ideas about how to soothe a child to sleep in a westy? when we go over to friends houses, we bring a pack-n-play, and he'll sleep in that for a few hours while my wife and i enjoy our dinner party or whatever. so it's not like he can't sleep anywhere but his crib. we could try again, maybe he was just fussy that day. but it's a big hassle to get all loaded up for a trip and then have to come home the same night. tia. aaron '87 syncro westy ej22 _________________________________________________________________ http://imagine-windowslive.com/hotmail/?locale=en-us&ocid=TXT_TAGHM_migration_HM_mini_pcmag_0507 |
