At that age our daughter slept in a "nest" we created in the space behind the back seat. In it we placed everything she had in her crib at home... cept for her special sleeping bag. We slept in the upper bunk. We also played favorite nursery rhymes from a cassette tape we kept around. Sometimes one of us would walk about while the other soothed her to sleep. Come to think of it, I remember I use to walk because my husband was better at soothing to sleep. Once asleep always asleep. I do remember one such rough trip though. I think we drove her around till she fell asleep and then returned to the campsite and stayed! Not much help, but fun to remember, as long as it isn't happening to me right now!! I really think the next trip will go better for you. Remember to tire him out before bedtime... lots of activity whether or not you feel like it! madeline --------------------------------- Choose the right car based on your needs. Check out Yahoo!
