Subject: Thanks for cooling system info
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Thanks to all who took the time to respond to my questions during my recent work on the cooling system of my '88 Westy. It is all back together, working fine and no leaks. Drained and flushed (and flushed and flushed). I refilled it with Zerex G05. Replaced the T-stat, temp II and I sensors, exp. tank and cap, some small hoses. etc. Before this work, the temp gauge was reading high, but the fan was working as it should and I have no reason to believe it was overheating. The temp gauge is now lower, but still about a needle width above the LED. I am thinking it is the voltage reg on the foil under the instrument pod. I have read how to test it, but how hard is it to replace it? Is it soldered on? Thanks again, Jerry
